Lo screenshot. Stilemi e pratiche nelle arti visive e performative

Diffuso forse tanto quanto il selfie, ma ancora oggi poco studiato, lo screenshot fa parte di una serie di pratiche postfotografiche che interessano usi documentali, artistici e sociali e che si pone come elemento di confine tra diversi sistemi espressivi.
Lo screenshot è una “fotografia” dello schermo – e in quanto tale può essere letta anche come pratica di rimediazione – che permette a chiunque di salvare contenuti che appaiono sui nostri device e che, anche in italiano, ha assunto una dimensione verbale (si screenshotta ciò che ci interessa appuntare, ricordare o condividere).

Widespread perhaps as much as the selfie, but still little studied today, the screenshot is part of a series of post-photographic practices that affect documentary, artistic and social uses and stands as a boundary element between different expressive systems.
The screenshot is a “photograph” of the screen – and as such can also be read as a practice of remediation – which allows anyone to save content that appears on our devices.
